Henry Unger’s Vision
In 1984, window cleaner Henry Unger found himself at a convention in Burmingham, England where he met and fell in love with his later to be wife. Following their union, Henry and his wife embarked on a journey that would change the landscape of window cleaning tools forever.
Upon moving to Hamburg, Germany, Henry recognized the need for efficient and reliable window cleaning tools. With a vision and drive, he took to the streets introducing window squeegees to local professionals. He shared his knowledge and convinced professionals that the squeegee would not only enhance efficiency but also save valuable time and money.
After gaining traction in Hamburg, Henry moved the business to Solingen, where he opened his first official factory. Here he began manufacturing his own squeegees with a big focus on a more ergonomic design, premium components, and enhanced functionality. Henry didn’t see these squeegees as just tools; he saw them as innovations that would set a new standard in the industry and become the catalyst for Unger’s success.
